Short Term Insurance

Short Term Insurance

Short-term disability insurance pays you a portion of your income for a short period of time after you run out of sick leave. Depending on your plan, STD generally will pay you for between 9 and 52 weeks (or 1 year).

Long Term Insurance

Long-term disability insurance picks up where short term disability insurance leaves off. Depending on your plan, LTD generally last until you can go back to work or the number of years stated in your policy.
